Law Society diversity access scheme (DAS) scholarships have been awarded to 14 aspiring solicitors.

The Law Society has commented on the latest official statistics published by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) concerning the diversity of the judiciary in England and Wales.

The InterLaw Diversity Forum launched the latest phase of its research project this week, looking at workplace culture, job satisfaction and job security in the legal sector through the perspectives of social mobility, race and ethnicity, LGBTQ+ identity, disability, sex and other characteristics.

Mentoring and coaching are effective, but external diversity pledges are less so when it comes to tearing down barriers to women’s progress at work, according to the latest research from the Next 100 Years project.
