Thousands of wills could need
revising as spiralling care and nursing fees force the elderly to sell their assets to pay for care, the Law Society has warned. Many elderly people may have left their homes to a loved one in a will but have later had to sell the home to pay for care costs. This means the wills are out of date, the society says. Research in October 2007 revealed that 57% of respondents did not know if they had an up-to-date will or not.
