Capital markets partner comes on board in London

Sidley Austin LLP has welcomed Nigel Wilson to the London office as a partner in the capital markets practice.

Nigel joins from his former position of partner with Maples Group, and also spent 12 years as a partner with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. He has over 20 years of experience in multijurisdictional corporate matters, advising investment banks and global corporations on a wide range of transactions including both debt and equity capital markets.

Edward F Petrosky, chair of the firm’s global capital markets group, said: ‘Nigel is a versatile and experienced adviser with important business relationships across various jurisdictions, and we are pleased to have him join our highly regarded global capital markets practice.’

Mark Walsh, co-chair of the European capital markets group, added: ‘I am extremely pleased to welcome Nigel and integrate him into our capital markets practice as well as the firm’s private equity, M&A and restructuring practices in London and globally.’
