Workers on sick leave are entitled to their holiday pay, the European Court of Justice has held.

Workers on sick leave are entitled to their holiday pay, the European Court of Justice has held. In Stringer v HMRC (Joined Cases C-350/06; C-520/06), the court held a worker who was on sick leave for the whole of an annual leave year was entitled to a period of four weeks’ paid annual holiday.
