The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has published the updated rules for the expansion of the RTA Portal, due to begin on 31 July. The portal is to be extended to include employers’ liability and public liability claims, and will have its threshold lifted from £10,000 to £25,000. Claimant personal injury solicitors and the Law Society had expressed concerns that lawyers would be left in the dark about the new procedural rules when advising clients, as reported in last week’s NLJ. The MoJ published the final version of the rules last week, just 14 working days before they take effect.
