The government has issued guidance for lawyers this week on ‘Recognition of Professional Qualifications’ in the event of a no-deal Brexit. The guidance explains the duties and obligations for the relevant authorities. If the United Kingdom leaves the European Union without a deal, the Recognition of Professional Qualifications (Amendment etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 will come into effect, and make changes to the existing regulations. Until this time, the European Union (Recognition of Professional Qualifications) Regulations 2015 remain unchanged.
