A recent survey by the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) revealed some stark and quite shocking facts
Lawyers responded to questions about the backlog of cases, length of delays, difficulties in obtaining simple facts from tribunals about upcoming cases or having forms processed and their experiences of remote hearings.
Writing in this week’s NLJ, ELA committee members Jennifer Sole and Caspar Glyn QC say: ‘The survey exposed a crumbling and chronically underfunded tribunal system, which was struggling even before the COVID-19 pandemic.’
