Disciplinary action was taken against 49 judicial office holders last year, with 21 subsequently disciplined, according to the Office for Judicial Complaints’ (OJC’s) annual report for April 2007–March 2008, published this week. Of these, 12 were disciplined for inappropriate behaviour or comments, seven for motoring offences, and three each for discrimination, criminal convictions and misuse of judicial status.
