A call for evidence on ways to tackle fraud has been issued by the House of Lords Committee on the Fraud Act 2006 and Digital Fraud
Legal professionals and victims of fraud are invited to submit their views by midday on 22 April. The committee will look at how Fraud Act provisions are used in practice, the potential for legislative reform, how the Act applies to online and digital fraud and what more needs to be done. Committee chair Baroness Morgan said the amount of fraud being committed was ‘horrifying’. Read more here.
