SRA launches online diversity data collection tool
The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has launched a diversity data collection tool on its website. Firms can report workforce data on sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, gender and other categories. The Legal Services Board has made collection of this data a requirement. Last year’s results are available on the SRA website. Antony Townsend, SRA chief executive, said: “We encourage firms to explain to their staff why the data is being collected and what will happen to it.”
