Bar Standards Board is "prompt, thorough & fair"
In a report published this week, the Bar Standards Board (BSB) was commended for its “prompt, thorough and fair” complaints handling procedures. The report, drafted by independent observer Isobel Leaviss praised the “collective dedication” displayed by members of the professional conduct department and its committee. Ms Leaviss suggested that publishing case studies and significant judgments would increase transparency and could promote standards by warning barristers about what conduct is expected.
