The charity behind the London Legal Walk is making a direct appeal to lawyers for help during London Legal Giving Week, 24 November-1 December

Fundraising has been halved due to the pandemic and the London Legal Support Trust (LLST) has a £400,000 shortfall in the funds it usually provides to advice charities.

The shortfall coincides with a dramatic increase in need, for example, one East End charity reports a 200% surge in demand.

LLST chief executive Nezahat Cihan said: ‘Thousands of people are dealing with legal issues for the first time in their lives.’ Find out more at: londonlegalsupporttrust.org.uk.
