Staffordshire ABS enters liquidation

Staffordshire alternative business structure, Hacking Ashton LLP has entered into liquidation. Creditors were advised at a meeting last week that declining fee income had led to losses, which in turn meant the 75-employee, £3.5m revenue practice had insufficient cash to pay its annual professional indemnity insurance in October. Duff & Phelps is acting as liquidator. Clive Woolliscroft, the former managing partner, praised his staff for their “fantastic” work in ensuring the transfer of live files in an orderly manner.
