Re B (No 2) (A Child) (Welfare: Child Arrangement Order) (Inherent Jurisdiction) [2017] EWHC 488 (Fam), [2017] All ER (D) 158 (Mar)
The Family Division made a parental responsibility order in the favour of an applicant, J, who had been in a same-sex relationship with R, the biological mother of the child, B. The court acknowledged that the parties had come to agreement in a number of matters concerning contact and also held that it had been in B’s best interests to make an order which recognised the significant parental role that J had played in B’s life.
