Claimant clinical negligence lawyers have formed a society to support each other through the “unprecedented uncertainty” of the Jackson reforms.

Representatives from about 100 firms attended the Society of Clinical Injury Lawyers (SCIL) inaugural meeting. SCIL will assist firms by preparing draft post-Jackson compliant conditional fee agreements and other documentation.

It will share information on how courts throughout the country interpret the Jackson reforms, particularly on cost budgeting, ATE premium recovery, proportionality and costs generally.
