New partner joins firm in health & social care practice
Blake Morgan has appointed Oliver Crich as a partner in its commercial and charities team, further strengthening its health and social care practice.
Oliver is a public procurement law specialist with particular expertise in the health and social care sector. He has significant experience of leading on a range of major strategic projects that, in addition to engaging public procurement law, often involve complex commercial, contractual and policy issues.
Over his career, he has worked with organisations across the public and private sectors, including central government bodies and their legal departments, NHS procurement hubs, and NHS commissioners and providers. Oliver also works closely with private sector suppliers and procurement consultancies.
Oliver’s substantial experience of advising health and social care clients and his deep understanding of the related regulatory framework and evolving policy objectives enables him to provide pragmatic, commercial and solution-focused advice.
Commenting on his new role, Oliver said: ‘I am delighted to be joining the team at Blake Morgan who represent a rare blend of technical excellence and a straightforward, down to earth approach.
‘I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues to build on Blake Morgan’s exceptionally strong reputation for providing strategic advice to a wide range of public sector bodies, many of whom regularly call on their significant procurement law expertise in relation to substantial projects.’
Penri Desscan, partner and head of the commercial and charities team at Blake Morgan, said: ‘Oliver’s public procurement expertise and his market-leading knowledge of the recently introduced NHS Provider Selection Regime will make him a valuable addition to Blake Morgan’s well-regarded public procurement offering.
‘His appointment will offer the firm the opportunity to strengthen our relationship with our clients and contacts in the north of England, where Oliver is based.’
