Bryan McNaught disciplined for dishonest conduct
A barrister is to be disbarred for dishonest conduct following convictions for a range of fraud offences amounting to about £900,000. A five-person disciplinary tribunal heard that Bryan McNaught, of Monmouth, South Wales, had pleaded guilty to 15 counts of fraud and dishonesty-related offences in 2011, and was sentenced to three years in prison. In 2012, he was found guilty of three further offences. McNaught was an unregistered barrister and had not completed pupillage. He did not attend the disciplinary hearing.
