New partner in firm’s Glasgow office

Weightmans has welcomed a new partner to its litigation team in Glasgow.

Carolyn Morgan, formerly of Harper Macleod LLP, specialises in litigation work and covers a wide range of commercial and contractual disputes, with a particular focus on contested executory estate and real estate litigation. As well as being a qualified mediator, Carolyn is dual qualified in Scotland, England and Wales, so will bolster the firm’s service offering in Scotland and firm-wide.

She is also the honorary legal adviser to the Board of Commonwealth Games Scotland, as well as a mentor on the R&A Women in Golf Leadership Programme and chairperson of the Conduct in Sport Panel for Scottish Gymnastics.

Claire McCracken, partner and head of the Glasgow office, said: ‘I am delighted to have secured Carolyn. She joins us at a time of growth for the Glasgow office and it demonstrates our commitment to our clients to provide a full service offering to them. Carolyn’s arrival also comes ahead of our imminent office move—further evidence of our intention to grow our presence here in Scotland.”

Carolyn said: “I am excited to join Weightmans and look forward to the opportunity to promote the firm, to establish a presence in the Scottish litigation market, and further develop the litigation offering in Scotland. Weightmans is a firm that puts its clients' needs first, and the obvious passion and commitment of the people who work here was a huge draw for me to join.’
