Virgin Media has announced the creation of its first legal panel from which it will engage law firms in 2012.

The move doubles the roster of advisers working with the company and introduces additional support services for the in-house legal department.

General counsel, Scott Dresser, comments: “The media and telecommunications sector is fast-evolving so the formation of our first legal panel will enable us to dynamically draw upon the expertise of these firms in a targeted way as we compete in a heavily regulated and highly complex digital world.”
