This problem concerns passengers’ entitlement to compensation under Art 7 of EC Reg 261/2004 (the “Denied Boarding Regulation”) for delay in respect of “missed connections”, whereby a short delay on the first flight leaving an EC airport, results in the passenger missing his or her connecting flight, usually causing a long delay arriving at the passenger’s final destination.
