A request for the extradition of Julian Assange to the US has been rejected by District Judge Vanessa Baraitser in Westminster magistrates’ court on 4 January 2021

Lexis®Library update: The ruling was decided on mental health grounds: there was a real risk of Assange being subject to restrictive special administrative measures in prison, being designated to the ADX, Florence and a substantial risk that Assange would commit suicide, as a result, if extradited to the US.
