Firm recruits project finance partner in future energy team 

TLT has recruited experienced project finance specialist Victoria Quek as a partner in its future energy team. 

Victoria, who will be based in London, joins from Eversheds Sutherland and focuses on the financing of renewable energy transition projects. She has over 20 years’ experience acting on renewable energy projects in the UK as well as Europe and the Middle East, including solar farms, wind farms and biomass energy generation projects. 

A well-known and trusted lawyer, Victoria has advised a wide portfolio of financial institutions, developers and sponsors on the acquisition, development, structuring, financing and onward sale of projects across varying technologies. 

Some of Victoria’s recent experience has included advising a leading German bank in the project financing of a portfolio of solar projects across the UK, Italy and Poland.

At TLT Victoria will work closely with the firm’s banking and future energy teams, further enhancing the firm’s international capabilities in regards to project financing in the future energy sector.  

Commenting on her appointment, Victoria said: ‘Experiencing first-hand the work of the TLT future energy team on various transactions from the opposite side of the negotiation table, I was always impressed with their strength, their depth of industry knowledge and their speed and professionalism. The experience I have gained in the past decade in project financing energy transition projects will complement and further strengthen the TLT future energy practice, making it a perfectly natural fit.’
