The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is making core data about law firms available for comparison websites. It says this will improve public information about law firms and raise awareness of the range of services and firms in the market. Paul Philip, SRA chief executive, says: “The public rightly expect to be able to find the information they need easily and many people routinely use comparison websites.” The websites will need to be signed up to the Legal Services Board Consumer Panel self-assessment standard.
