Real estate partner joins London firm

Spector Constant & Williams has appointed a new real estate partner, Naziana Mehdy, who brings over a decade of experience in commercial and residential real estate. Since training at a boutique law firm, Naziana has worked on complex high net worth corporate real estate transactions.

Naziana has a broad real estate practice acting for both domestic and international investors into the UK. She also specialises in Sharia/Islamic financial property transactions, wills and trust deeds, and has worked closely with a range of Islamic financial institutions.

Alun Williams, one of the founding partners of Spector Constant & Williams, said: ‘Our real estate team has never been busier and Naziana is a fantastic addition. She has a very well-deserved reputation and has been involved in several major commercial disposals in the West and the City. She has also acted on a number of retail and restaurant acquisitions in London and across the UK, as well as advising clients on landlord and tenant work.’

Commenting on her appointment, Naziana said: ‘I am delighted to be joining the team at Spector, Constant & Williams. The company’s expansion in the past few years has been remarkable and I am looking forward to delivering yet more organic growth.

‘With the inflation rate now down to 2% and interest rates increasingly likely to be cut by the end of summer, we expect the retail and hospitality industry to start picking up. There is a significant increase in demand for commercial premises since Covid with the change of legislation on the permitted class of use.’
