A “substantial” number of solicitors have not yet completed their applications to remain on the roll, due in by 2 July, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has warned. Otherwise, they will be off the roll and their official status will be that of “former solicitor”. More than 23,000 solicitors met the deadline. The SRA has published a list of solicitors for whom it has no valid current address at www.sra.org.uk/kr, and is urging those listed to contact it if they wish to remain on the roll.
