A guide to bringing claims worth less than £10,000 in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC) has been published. It is aimed at people who have no legal experience or representation, but may also be useful for lawyers. It offers practical tips on procedure. The IPEC small claims track deals with low level claims such as a photographer whose work has been published on the internet without a licence, or a composer whose work has been uploaded online as the soundtrack to a video clip without permission.
