Slater & Gordon (S&G) has acquired 150-strong Welsh law firm Leo Abse & Cohen (LAC). LAC is one of the largest firms in Wales, with seven offices as well as its headquarters in Cardiff. S&G is also taking on Walker Smith Way, which has offices in Chester and Wrexham. A statement from S&G said both firms shared its commitment to unions and membership organisations. Managing director Andrew Grech says: “The LAC team will be able to offer a huge amount of expertise to our larger client base. They have particularly strong reputations in Wales and the Chester area and together we can offer a full Welsh and regional local service to our clients.”
