The Sutton Trust recently announced a £1m expansion of its Pathways to Law programme, which helps students from non-privileged backgrounds to pursue a law career. The University of Roehampton is now set to join the programme. Valerie Horwood, head of partnerships at the University of Roehampton, says: “We already find that a high proportion of our students are the first in their family to attend university, and it’s important to us that we are a part of the programme which drives enthusiasm, and widens participation and access to a robust law education.”
