Road Safety Act 2006 (Commencement No 1) Order (SI 2007/237)
Brought into force on 27 February 2007 a number of provisions in the Road Safety Act 2006, including s 26—increase in penalties for breach of requirements relating to driver’s control of a motor vehicle and the use of a hand-held mobile telephone or similar device while driving a motor vehicle, now three penalty points and a level three fine.
