The Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) is considering bringing legal action against the Commission for Equality and Human Rights, over the impact its relocation plans will have on employees.

The commission is due to replace the Commission for Racial Equality, the Equal Opportunities Commission and the Disability Rights Commission in October 2007. PCS is worried that disabled staff and parents will face difficulties with relocation. A PCS spokesperson says the union is “currently talking with senior management” and that “any legal action has been put on hold until the end of this week when the situation will be clearer”.
