The inaugural UK Probate Research Awards are to be held on 7 February 2019 at The Mermaid, Puddle Dock, London. They will recognise the work that probate researchers do in tracking down long-lost friends and family members in the UK and abroad where an inheritance is due. Amanda Hamilton, chief executive of the National Association of Licenced Paralegals (NALP), one of the awards’ sponsors, described the awards as ‘instrumental in attracting and promoting probate genealogy as a rich and rewarding career path for paralegals’.
