The Supreme Court, in London’s Parliament Square, is staging an exhibition that tells the story of its sister court, the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, which at one stage could hear appeals from about a quarter of the world’s population. The Privy Council still serves about 30 Commonwealth countries and British overseas territories. The exhibition will offer snapshots of its caseload from 1833 to the 1950s, including some startling human interest stories, and features an interactive globe. The exhibition is open on weekdays between 9.30am and 4.30pm, from 1 August 2014 until 26 September 2014.
