District Judge Edwina Millward, who sits at Maidstone Combined Court, has been elected President of the Association of Her Majesty’s District Judges. Millward was senior partner in the Maidstone firm Gill Tucker and Tucker before being appointed a judge, and is a former president of the Kent Law Society. She intends to press for the establishment of “a properly funded and resourced unified Family Court”, where magistrates, district judges and circuit judges can work together to make best use of available resources.
