Family law solicitor advocate David Burrows takes aim at Sir Andrew McFarlane’s recent report on transparency in the family courts, in this week’s NLJ

The President of the Family Division’s report ‘is a confused document’, Burrows writes. ‘The lawyer reader is struck immediately by the fact that it is very short on definition of, or reflection on, legal principle.’

Burrows delves into the various issues at stake, including his view that the report does not adequately examine the need for open justice.
