QC appointments are announced
The silk results are in and 100 new QC appointments have been announced. The youngest is 37 years old and the oldest is 68. They include five solicitor-advocates, two employed advocates, 18 women, 13 applicants of a non-white ethnic origin, and 11 applicants aged over 50. By comparison, in the 2012-13 round, one solicitor-advocate, no employed advocates, 14 women and three non-white QCs were appointed. The ceremony takes place on 14 April.
