HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) has issued guidance on full video hearings, where all participants appear by video, which is being tested as an option in some civil and family tribunals including basic tax tribunals, set-aside judgments, first direction appointments and short notice injunction hearings. For example, where hearings are recorded, participants can apply for a transcript; everyone must follow the same rules as in a courtroom, only drinking water and asking the judge’s permission before moving away from the screen. More information from the video hearings team is available from: video-hearings@justice.gov.uk.
