President of Supreme Court issues warning over legal aid cuts
Lord Neuberger, President of the Supreme Court, has warned the cuts to legal aid could lead to higher court costs, which would wipe out any savings. One of the reasons is that self-represented litigants, who cannot afford to hire a lawyer, will take up more court time and impose a higher burden on staff and judges.
