Mr Justice Meade: intellectual in charge

Mr Justice Meade has been appointed judge in charge of intellectual property. 

He will be responsible for the Patents Court, the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court with the support of HHJ Richard Hacon as its presiding judge, and the general intellectual property list of the Business and Property Courts.

Appointed a High Court judge in September 2020, Mr Justice Meade succeeds Lord Justice Birss, who was the judge in charge of the patents court until his elevation to the Court of Appeal in February 2021.
