Firm boosts IP offering with new partner hire

Mishcon de Reya has announced that Angela Fox has agreed to join the firm as a partner in its intellectual property team.

Angela has over 27 years’ experience in trade mark practice, initially as a trade mark attorney and, since 2003, as a solicitor. Angela works with clients across a broad range of industries including financial services, and the food and drink and entertainment sectors.

Her practice is a mix of contentious and non-contentious trade mark, and copyright and design matters. On the contentious side, it includes UK and EUIPO opposition actions, cancellations and appeals, including to the Appointed Person, the High Court, the EUIPO Boards of Appeal, and the General Court, as well as litigation in the IPEC and the High Court. On the non-contentious side, Angela manages large international trade mark portfolios, advising on and handling searching, clearance, registration and transactional work.

Commenting on her appointment, Angela said: ‘I am delighted to have agreed to join Mishcon de Reya as a partner in their top-tier intellectual property team. Mishcon’s commitment to investing in and growing its IP practice, and its role as trusted counsel for some of the world’s best-known brands, reflect my own values, standards and ambitions in helping the clients I serve get the most out of their IP.

‘The Mishcon team has impressive bench strength and incredible clients and I am looking forward to adding my own experience and expertise to this top-class, dynamic practice.’

David Rose, partner and head of Mishcon de Reya’s intellectual property group, said: ‘We could not be more delighted that Angela has agreed to join us as a partner in Mishcon de Reya’s intellectual property team. Her experience in serving large and sophisticated clients is second to none. Angela will add considerable expertise to our existing capabilities and strengths across the full range of brands and designs work.’
