Two new recruits for Leamington firm

Midlands-based solicitors Wright Hassall has appointed two new senior lawyers.

Michael Hiscock has joined Wright Hassall as a senior associate in construction along with Christopher Jones who joins as an associate in the banking and finance division of the Leamington solicitors.

Michael brings with him a wealth of experience in the sector, having spent 15 years in Nottingham working with two large law firms in the city. He has been involved in construction projects for care homes, doctor’s centres and GPs surgeries and acted as legal representative in the development of both Nottingham and Loughborough University.

Michael says: “I am delighted to be joining Wright Hassall’s corporate team. I have been brought in to Wright Hassall to add strength to the team, working with clients to help expand their business and maximise their capital assets in the best possible way. I am joining at a time when the construction sector is showing signs of increased confidence following tough economic times and I am looking forward to developing the positive business opportunities on offer.”

Christopher arrives at Wright Hassall with seven years’ experience with a magic circle law firm in London and two years’ experience with a major Birmingham law firm. He has acted for banks, private equity houses and corporates and has extensive experience of a wide range of financial transactions including secured lending, property and development financing, asset-based lending, invoice discounting and supplier financing. Christopher also advises on securitisation and debt capital market financings, asset financing and leasing together with restructuring and financing matters.

Christopher says: “I am very pleased to be joining Wright Hassall and I am looking forward to leading the expansion of the corporate team’s finance offering.”
