Mencap panel to help people with learning disabilities

Mencap has launched a panel of experts from five corporate law firms, which will work with the charity to help people with learning disabilities and their families. The panel, Rights Here, Rights Now, will help fill the gap in legal advice provision caused by cuts in legal aid and other public funding. It will perform a triage role in benefits appeals, special education needs support for children, deprivation of liberty disputes and other cases.
