In brief
Trevor Lyttleton, a solicitor based in Marble Arch, with particular expertise in handling senile dementia cases, has been awarded an MBE. Formerly at Freshfields, and now a sole practitioner, he has accepted the award on behalf of the volunteers—including several solicitors—of Contact the Elderly who, he says, have done so much to alleviate the pain of isolation in old age. Lyttleton, who founded the charity 42 years ago, says: “The Prince of Wales recognised the longstanding contribution of all our dedicated volunteers.” Details of the charity can be found at www.contact-the-elderly.org.
