Firm welcomes digital media lawyer to its commercial team

Keystone Law has recruited ex-BBC Worldwide Digital Media specialist Lucy Blick-Jones to its commercial team

Lucy’s practice places a distinct focus on media, technology, e-commerce and digital publishing. With an impressive skillset that includes advising on the development and publication of apps, games and websites as well as the sale of physical, digital and virtual goods, her client base consists of a wide range of professionals across the TV, publishing, online retail, and music industries. She also has experience advising on complex intellectual property issues.

Lucy joins Keystone from BBC Worldwide where she worked for five years in digital media, technology and digital publishing. Prior to this, she held various in-house positions including legal director at EMI Music where she was responsible for pioneering digital content deals and global IT transactions. Lucy trained at Mayer Brown Rowe and Maw, now Mayer Brown.

“Lucy is an expert when it comes to all things digital. Her expertise, coupled with in-house and private practice experience, makes her a strong addition to our team and we're delighted to welcome her on board,” comments Keystone’s managing director and founder James Knight. “Our media and technology practices are well established, with a diverse range of clients from right across the sector, and Lucy’s decision to join the firm is a real demonstration of that fact."

Lucy adds: “I’m excited about joining Keystone’s commercial team which is a core focus of the firm. Keystone is rightly proud of its heritage as an innovative leader in its field. Given that many of the transactions and partnerships I work on are the first of their kind, I realised quickly that this is a good fit. My clients still get an outstanding service, whilst I can work more flexibly around other commitments”.
