Lord Justice Fulford is to be appointed vice-president of the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) in October, succeeding Lady Justice Hallett. Fulford LJ was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1978, took silk in 1994, became a High Court judge in 2002 and joined the Court of Appeal in 2013. He has enjoyed some firsts in his career: in 2003, he became one of the first 18 judges of the International Criminal Court, where he served until 2012. In 2017, he was appointed as the first Investigatory Powers Commissioner.
