LNB NEWS: MoJ announces Nightingale Courts to remain open another year

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has announced that 24 of the Nightingale Courts, which were set up to boost capacity during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, will remain open in 2023 to allow more cases to be heard to reduce the backlog. 

Lexis®Library update: The MoJ has provided that the announcement forms part of an investment of £477m over the next three years which aims to tackle the Crown Court backlog.
