Lexis®Library update: HMCTS aim to use technology to improve access and support to justice systems and share these ambitions with the Indian justice system under the Ministry of Justice’s (MOJ) Rule of Law Programme.
In May, HMCTS was represented at a conference organised by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, Commission of Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Vienna where discussions were held via video evidence and the use of video hearings in the context of digital reform to support the UN Sustainable Development Goal 16 on access to justice for all.
Senior Project Manager at HMCTS Strategy and Change, Amar Morjaria, expressed how these events ‘help to promote international cooperation, exchange expertise and foster best practice' and 'raise the profile of the UK justice system around the world.’
