The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has announced that people working in care homes will need to be fully vaccinated against coronavirus (COVID-19) in order to provide better protection for care home residents, following public consultation
Lexis®Library update: Subject to parliamentary approval and a subsequent 16-week grace period, the new legislation will mean that from October 2021, anyone working in a CQC-registered care home in England requiring nursing or personal care must have 2 doses of a coronavirus vaccine unless they are medically exempt.

Further consultation will be launched to consider extending the requirement to other health and social care settings.

The full consultation can be found here.
