If you can’t wait to become a partner, join a large firm. 

That’s the conclusion reached by management consultants Edward Drummond. Its research found that partners tend to be younger, on average, the bigger the firm they work for—72% of partners at Top 10 UK law firms are aged 50 years or under versus 60% for all law firms. Moreover, partners at Top 10 law firms are almost two years younger than the national sector average—46.7 years compared to 48.4 years.
