Lawyers are sticking it out

Lawyers are staying put longer, according to research by legal recruitment firm Douglas Scott.

Its 2015 Salary and Benefits Benchmarker found lawyers spend an average of three years and four months in each role, an increase of six months on its 2014 results. On average, more than four out of 10 lawyers are, at any time, considering a change of job in the next six months, with restlessness peaking at the three years’ mark.

Director Jonathan Nolan advised employers not to take a “one size fits all approach”.
