The first lawyer apprenticeships have been launched. The department for business, innovation and skills announced this week that the apprenticeships in law are ready for delivery. The solicitors’ apprenticeship standard has been developed by groups of employers with support from the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The first legal trainees could join the scheme by as early as September 2016. Gun Judge, resourcing manager at Addleshaw Goodard, says: “Our apprentices create a huge contribution to the firm, and we will be looking to hire more.”
